Table of Contents
The best
Pokémon Elite Trainer Boxes of 2024 are:
1.
Scarlet & Violet Pokémon 151 Elite Trainer Box

- 1 competition-legal coin-flip die
- 2 plastic condition markers
- A player’s guide to the Scarlet & Violet—151 expansion

- A collector’s box to hold everything, with 4 dividers to keep it organized
- 1 full-art foil promo card featuring Snorlax

Coming in at our number one spot is my personal favorite, the new and improved Pokémon 151 set! If you are a collector, this is a must-have Elite Trainer Box. It features all of the original 151 Pokémon with new artworks. Keep an eye out for the new
Charizard EX card; it's absolutely fabulous. You really get thrown back into time with this set, making it a real blast from the past. Every time you open up this pack, that little hit of nostalgia is wonderful. But it's not just for collectors; even as a new player, hitting those special art illustrations, rares, and full art EX's is just as exciting. You won't be disappointed with this box at all!
On a side note, I am personally keeping one of my Pokémon 151 Elite Trainer Boxes sealed because I think it will hold good value in the future. This isn't investment advice, but I do tend to keep Elite Trainer Boxes sealed from time to time that I believe will go up in the future Pokémon 151 is absolutely one of those sets.
2. Crown Zenith Elite Trainer Box
- 10 Pokémon TCG: Crown Zenith booster packs
- 1 etched foil promo card featuring Lucario VSTAR
- 65 card sleeves featuring Lucario
- 45 Pokémon TCG Energy card
- A player’s guide to the Crown Zenith expansion
- 6 damage-counter dice
- 1 competition-legal coin-flip die
- 2 acrylic condition markers
- 1 acrylic VSTAR marker
- A collector’s box to hold everything, with 4 dividers to keep it organized
Our number two spot goes to Pokémon Crown Zenith because of its highly sought-after chase cards. Crown Zenith is still at a great price point and contains some really awesome cards.
Giratina VSTAR and
Arceus VSTAR are my personal favorites. When you combine these two cards with everything else the set has to offer, it's a no-brainer to want to pick up a Crown Zenith Elite Trainer Box. The set does not come in a booster box, so the Elite Trainer Box gives you the best bang for your buck when it comes to trying to collect the Crown Zenith set. The set is still quite cheap compared to some of the other boxes, making it another box I would think about holding onto if you were in the mindset of keeping it as a sealed product.
3. Scarlet & Violet Obsidian Flames Elite Trainer Box
- 9 Pokémon TCG: Scarlet & Violet—Obsidian Flames booster packs
- 1 full-art foil promo card featuring Charmander
- 65 card sleeves featuring Charmander
- 45 Pokémon TCG Energy cards
- A player’s guide to the Scarlet & Violet—Obsidian Flames expansion
- 6 damage-counter dice
- 1 competition-legal coin-flip die
- 2 plastic condition markers
- A collector’s box to hold everything, with 4 dividers to keep it organized
- A code card for Pokémon Trading Card Game Live
We have reached our number three spot, and man, we are on fire! No, literally, we are on fire with Obsidian Flames coming in, featuring everyone's favorite card, Charizard galore! There are so many different Charizard arts in this set that you probably aren't surprised it's coming in at our number three spot. This set is just awesome. You have to make sure you are on the lookout for the special illustration rare
Charizard EX because, man, is it awesome! If you like Charizard and love some unique card artworks not really featured in the other Elite Trainer Boxes, then this set is the one for you. On top of that, not 100% sure, but keep it on the down low; I have heard it has higher pull rates than other sets, making it easier to complete the set.
4. Scarlet & Violet Elite Trainer Box

- This also comes with a code card for Pokémon Trading Card Game Live.
Now, this might surprise you, but it is here for a good reason. Coming in at our number four spot is the latest generation and the first introduction into the Paldean region, Scarlet & Violet. The reason the Scarlet & Violet Elite Trainer Box is so far up on the list is not only because it is the latest generation of Pokémon but also because it's a great introductory box into all the new Pokémon you may have never heard of. Many people are familiar with this set, and it's not as highly desired for collectors, making this a great Elite Trainer Box for newer or returning players trying to get into collecting.
From what I have seen (and prices obviously change frequently, so do your own research), this Elite Trainer Box tends to stay as the cheapest Elite Trainer Box on the market, so if you want to pick one up, it's an absolute steal. My favorite card in this set is
Miriam for sure, but there are all sorts of beautiful cards, so be on the lookout!

e
Now, we are stepping back into older sets. Coming in at number six is the Sword & Shield - Silver Tempest Elite Trainer Box. The reason this is coming in sixth is that, although older, it is still absolutely amazing, and you already know why! How about we talk about that
Lugia V Full Art? I know when you click this link, you will be hooked. This single card alone is enough to make you want to buy this set. If Lugia isn't really your thing, this set still comes with an assortment of really cool cards. Yeah, talking to you, all my
Alolan Vulpix lovers, and with a ton of rainbow cards, how could you pass this up? Think twice!

Yes, I know in our seventh spot, we have the old but not forgotten Lost Origin Elite Trainer Box. Now, although this set is older, do not let this deter you from picking up a box! This set has some really awesome cards, and when I say really awesome, I am talking about
Giratina V (Alternate Full Art) and
Aerodactyl V (Alternate Full Art). This Elite Trainer Box was built for people looking for insanely valued cards and is an awesome pickup for collectors. How can you pass that up? It's like, are you really going to deny the challenge of hunting down those gems? Probably not, and that's exactly why Lost Origins takes the number seven spot on the list!
8. Scarlet & Violet Paradox Rift Elite Trainer Box
- You will receive, at random, one Elite Trainer Box featuring either Iron Valiant of Roaring Moon
- The Pokémon TCG: Scarlet & Violet—Paradox Rift Elite Trainer Box includes 9 Pokémon TCG: Scarlet & Violet—Paradox Rift booster packs, 1 full-art foil promo card featuring Scream Tail or Iron Bundle, and 65 card sleeves featuring Roaring Moon or Iron Valiant.

- You will also find a code card for Pokémon Trading Card Game Live.
The number eight spot has to go to the Scarlet & Violet Paradox Rift Elite Trainer Box. The reason I have this at number eight, even though it's one of the more recent sets, is that it focused on a ton of Pokémon that I personally wasn't the biggest fan of. But, man, do not let that make you not want to purchase this set. It still holds a spot on the top 10 list, and honestly, it could be higher. That
Roaring Moon EX card is one of the coolest cards in the set by far and might be one of the strongest Ancient Pokémon. With Future Pokémon coming in this set as well, it's definitely a really nice pickup for any kind of player making this Elite Trainer Box something you should not ignore!
9. Scarlet & Violet Paldea Evolved Elite Trainer Box
- 9 Pokémon TCG: Scarlet & Violet—Paldea Evolved booster packs
- 1 full-art foil promo card featuring Pikachu
- 65 card sleeves featuring Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly
- 45 Pokémon TCG Energy cards
- A player’s guide to the Scarlet & Violet—Paldea Evolved expansion
- 6 damage-counter dice
- 1 competition-legal coin-flip die
- 2 plastic condition markers
- A collector’s box to hold everything, with 4 dividers to keep it organized
- A code card for Pokémon Trading Card Game Live
The list is almost over, but don't fall asleep yet. Coming in at number nine is the Scarlet & Violet Paldean Evolved Elite Trainer Box. This Elite Trainer Box might be the most slept on because the chase cards and the number of different artworks in this box are unmatched. You are probably wanting to know what the chase card is, and if you are a competitive Pokémon player, you already know.
Iono is my personal and the best card in this set by far. If you happen to pick up one of these boxes, have fun because the number of amazing cards you can pull will surprise you; there is hit after hit, and it really does not stop!
10. Pokemon GO Elite Trainer Box
- Gear up for battle like never before as Pokémon GO meets the Pokémon Trading Card Game!
- The Pokémon TCG: Pokémon GO Elite Trainer Box is a great way to get started with this exciting new expansion thanks to the 10 Pokémon TCG: Pokémon GO booster packs included.

- You'll also get 65 card sleeves featuring Mewtwo to keep your deck in good condition, 45 Energy cards to power up your team, damage-counter dice and a coin-flip die, acrylic condition and VSTAR markers, and a player's guide to the Pokémon GO expansion.
- It all comes in a sturdy collector's box that's perfect for storing your cards..You'll be ready to go with this cool set!
Last but not least, we have reached the end of the top 10 list. Coming in at number ten, rightfully so, is the Pokémon GO Elite Trainer Box. This is a simple set and more niche, I would say when it comes to Elite Trainer Boxes; it's definitely on the higher end price-wise and has some cool hits. I would recommend this box mainly for collectors or people coming from the Pokémon GO phone game who are looking to get into collecting cards. It features some really cool rainbow rares, but nothing of crazy value, so I would say for sure this is for special circumstances. Nonetheless, you don't really see the cards for this set often, so be aware of it and pick up a box if you like staying away from the normal trends.
Final Thoughts
When putting together this top 10 list, we really focused on Elite Trainer Boxes for all sorts of players, ranging from collectors all the way to brand new players. There is an Elite Trainer Box for every kind of player, and we want to make sure that you know what you are getting into when it comes to buying Pokémon products in 2024. Elite Trainer Boxes tend to come with fewer packs, ranging from 8-9, but make up for that with cheaper prices. If you are trying to collect the entire set or just want to open up more packs, consider purchasing a Pokémon booster box, which comes with 36 packs per box. Though more expensive, if you are going to open up at least two Elite Trainer Boxes, a booster box would be better for you value-wise. We have an article on the
best Pokémon booster boxes of 2024, which can lead you in the right direction if you choose to take that path. Have fun and remember to keep on collecting, whether you crack open those packs or keep the Elite Trainer Boxes sealed. They are all awesome products , and you won't regret buying any of the Elite Trainer Boxes we talked about!
